    Question about Idle...

Ok, so i just finally re-installed my tachometer... i lent it to a friend while my car was dead... and after i got another engine, it seemed to be a lil loud... and so after i put back on my tach, i turned on my car... and what do you, my car idles at 2k!!!! if i put it into reverse or drive, it'll drop to 900-1k.... neutral is back up to 2k.... is there anyway that i can lower my idle??? i checked my throttle cable n loosened it a bit... that dropped my idle about 1-2 hundred... but still, 2k is so high.... any suggestions?????

Did you let the car warm up first?

yeah... if i drive around for a long while, then park my car... it'll still be at 2k when i turn off my car... once in a while though, it'll be 1.4k-1.6k surprisingly.....

The idle speed sensor might be incompatible.
