    Ques about HIDS.

I installed H4 HIDS on my 8th gen a week ago. It had a metal sheild next to the light or wateva and my friend said it would be even brighter if we took it off so we did. What exactly does that metal sheild thing do?

Put them back on. Those are the cutoff shields to prevent bounce up glare from blinding incoming traffic and the person in front of you. You drive behind a cop like that and you'll get yourself a ticket. Plus you never know what pissed off drivers in front of you will do. Removing it doesn't make it any brighter. It's just irresponsible really.

After you install them, you can readjust the headlights so that you have the right amount of lighting.

There are 2 gears to adjust up and down and side to side. They're just sitting right there out in the open. I suggest buying a repair manual to guide you along.
