    Quaife Differential

Has anyone here installed the Quaife limited slip differential? I'd like to know how much difference it makes with the handling of the car.

From it's website http://www.quaifeamerica.com/differentials/diffs.htm it seems like it'll improve handling, stop wheel spin, help a lot on snow/ice and in rain, and it comes with a lifetime warranty. It also doesn't have clutches that'll wear out and doesn't need special oil. Only problem is that it's $1800 with installation.

Is it worth that price? It's so easy to spin the wheels with the Corolla in first and second gear. Every time I hit a bump or pass over a sewer grate the wheel will spin. I can't understand why all cars don't have an option for something like the quaife.

I think it would deffinately help improve traction and therefore help with acceleration. It would probably improve traction on the snow alot too. I would get one right now if I had the money.

Dont know if you have seen this site yet, but you might check them out for toyota parts, they also carry the quaife diff. too. http://monkeywrenchracing.com/toyota.html

I have also seen a TRD diff. out for our cars, i think it was only $700 or something at vpower.net.

I dont know if its as good as the quaife diff thou. I think i would go with the quaife because it might be better quality. But thats mostly my opinion
