*PSP Question

What is that game that when you download it in the computer you can use the PSP to surf the net? Or something of that sort.

I was looking at my son's PSP & noticed that it's somewhat like the iPOD.

you don't need to download a game. Sony regularly puts out firmware updates about once a month or so. A couple updates ago they added the PSP Browser to the PSP firmware. So just got on Sony's site and download the update to yer memory stick. Or if you have a wireless router you can download the update through the wireless feature.

If you install the latest firmware your PSP won't be hackable anymore If you have an old firmware on it you can revert back to the 1.5 firmware and run homebrew software like SNES and NES emulators and all there games and I think there is even a homebrew web browser out there. But once you update to the latest firmware you screwed.

Do I plug in the USB cable to the PSP & my computer? If so, I just want to make I'm doing it right.

I need to get a large memory stick I'm going w/ 1GB.

I wonder if they will ever let homebrew possible on the psp. I bought one once but ended up returning it to walmart just because of the that once thing. Although I would like to buy it again because of the fact that you can download and watch movies on it and browse the internet on it. I dont think I would use it alot for games since that is what the ps3 would be for when it comes out.

I use to have a PSP and I believe I have a little test thread on this forum somewhere when I had my PSP wirelessly connected to the internet via WiFi in front of a coffee shop in town....I did it by buying the game "Wipeout Pure"...then I used the internet update browser, modified the data settings, and bam, I was on the net...

Unfortunately I dont have my PSP nemore...I sold PSP with 10 games and a 512mb memory stick along with a bunch of accessories for real cheap...whoever bought it off of me from ebay got a good deal..
