Eh. Its not a big deal. I think the seats should be fine. Just use the rails from the prelude, and then you might have to weld some nuts to the frame and bolt the seats into the nuts that you welded. Or feed a bolt through and tighten it from underneath the car. Just be careful for rust in the future.

Get some custom brackets made for the seats to fit. Sliders on seats should work fine.

They seem fine to me. They serve their purpose and I have side airbags in them.

I like the stock seats. Now the stock seats in our camry, ugh, the back rest is stiff because of the lumbar crap and no matter how far back I adjust that, it's stiff as hell. I personally like my seats, except the passenger side one that is now orange due to some beyotch spilling a mango shake all over it. ugh I hate her for doing that...

I too find corolla seats uncomfortable.

Try Weapon-R or 3A racing. remember 93-02 or share the same brackets. I never had any experiences with them but they're cheap.. Personally I'm using Nagisa Auto brackets on the driver side and Recaro brackets on the passenger side.
