Why is it that I forsee a massive increase of Ebay sales of Gran Theft Auto: San Andreas since the release of the "Hot Coffee" mod. Good thing I already have it at my disposal, seeing as how all the major retailers are pulling it off the shelves. And I also have the Action Replay Max. Haven't put the code in yet, but I'm expecting to do that today after work to see what all the hype is about.

Yeah I was thinking about that this morning. I don't know what the big deal is. You can find the same crap quite easily on the internet without having to hack a game...

I'm going to have to agree... and with all the publicity it's getting, a lot of people that never would have known (about "Hot Coffee") now suddenly have their interest piqued...

I finally got the Hot Coffee mod to work. Man, it's not all that bad.

    1) There is no parts shown
    2) The girl is in a thong, and half top t-shirt
    3) CJ is fully clothed with whatever you had him wear
    4) The scene last for about 5min at the max

I've seen sex scenes on cable tv that are worst than that. I hate the media, they always try to blow stuff out of proportion. For instance, on the news they showed like the first tid bit of the scene on the news. To which they had the butt of the girl blurred out. She has a freaking thong on! Why would you feel the need to blur it out. You can see a chick wearing a thong on Baywatch.

Is it interactive, or just a pre-scripted scene? I imagine that if it were interactive, that would be the part that "crosses the line", whatever line that is. It's true-- you see more in Baywatch-- although usually it's not in an erotic context.

That, and having to see David Hasselhoff would just about kill it for anybody...

What I find most annoying is that it's only the SEX (which was accessible only with additonal software) is what's getting everyone up in arms-- the violence in it seems to be a non-issue.

On some of those reality shows you can see someone getting run over by a motorcycle or shot by a robber-- but if there's nudity, they blur it out. Talk about some really screwed up priorities...

I concur...lol. Politics BLOW! But yes, it is interactive. I still don't see the big deal. Most people have sex before thier 16 years of age. I think a video game is the least of their worries. No STD's caught from your controller....lol.

You know, I have no simpathy for people that try to pass off their judgment (Lack thereof) on some outside product/influence. There is just absolutely know excuse for that. If everyone had the luxury of not taking responsibility for our actions, then I could think of 50 million ways to pass off my neglagence to some 3rd party vendor. Hmmm...let's see:

    1) Well, Nito made these race tires, so I blame them for making me race down the interstate at 120+ killing 5 people in a van.

    2) Microsoft made the Windows OS, so that's why I hacked into the department of treasury.

    3) I saw this girl on USA mouth off at her boss, so that's why I told my boss to go to hell....Now I'm wondering why I got fired.

    4) Some rappers say "bitch" and "hoe" in their songs, so, that's why I told my mother to "kiss my black ass bitch". And then saying I only said it, because the rap song, and pleading not to get kicked out of the house.

It goes on...and....on. Sorry to sound as if I'm venting, but it really does piss me off, when people try to pass of their wrong doings onto others, instead of taking responsibility for their actions. People are so quick to sue these days. I feel sorry for their loss, I truly do. But don't you think a cop has died in the line of duty, by someone elses Mental Problems plenty of times before. In that case, we should be allowed to sue the Liquor and Beer manufactures everytime someone drinks and drives and crashes into the car you spent years modding.

Theres a lawsuit now stemming from the kid that killed a few cops, stole their police cruiser, and when he was caught, he said that life is a video game. The families of the dead cops are suing Rockstar Video, Sony, etc. <br />

    Exactly--
While children are indeed impressionable, the line between fantasy and the real world starts becoming more and more distinct for them as time goes by. Certainly no one who has reached his majority can honestly blame video games for his violent crimes.

I suppose the interactive nature of video games does make it seem all the more real to the player-- it's still a video game.

This is where parents should keep more of an eye on what the kids watch and do, instead of letting the games keep their eye on the kids.

There's plenty of case law referring to pornography. It's definitely not "no problem what so ever" when it comes to pornography.

I take it as proof of the right to free speech that pornography exists. For speech to be free, the offensive as well as the inoffensive should be allowed.

Again, it comes down to the parents, not Congress, to limit children's exposure to these things.

I'm going to sue her for $10M because I was &quot;damaged&quot; upon learning what a goddamn retard she is.
