please keep my family in your thoughts...

hey guys...i don't normally do this, but this just hit real hard today.

my mom's kindof sick right now. she lost sight in her right eye Thursday night/Friday morning, and we thought it was her cataracts acting up(they run in her family). well, she hit the doc's today, and found out it's actually the optic nerve.

any one of a number of things could be affecting it, from a simple virus that'll clear up in a few days, to a brain tumor.

please, those of you who care, keep us in your thoughts. :( i'm in shock right now - i don't know what we'll do if it's a tumor. i guess we've just got to take it day by day, but this is something i've never handled before.

my mom's doing alright, and she's in GREAT spirits considering her situation. she's not going to really worry till she's got a diagnosis, and i'm following her lead.

did they say Optic neurits? I am really sorry to hear that, I hope she regains her vison soon. did she get a referal from the optomitrist to see a neurologist? I was supposed to go see the neurologist last night, but didn't make it in time to my appt and had to reschedule.. but sometimes my right eye will blur or my pupil will be a different size from the other eye and I have tingling sensations in my legs and arms sometimes... I will definately keep your mother in my prayers.

I haerd about that before somewhere and, ah the optometrist. He said that yoou need to becareful about what you do wether it high blood pressure from too much stress, not eating correctly, and need to walk a bit more often. My mom had a similar situation a while back and they told her this, Now they just recently found out that she is diabetic and needs to be extremely careful.
just know this and thats your mom will be fine and she will get better and she will soon be able to run her days more smoothly with hopefully no restrcitions.
