    plans for my car.

some of you might know, my car is in LA area right now for toyota to fix my engine (damaged by Supercharger and Unichip), the only thing i'm pretty sure i will do while the car is down there is that i will be getting either AEM big rotor kit or the Rotora Big brake kit for the front. and the rest of the plain will be:

    1) if toyota is going to cover the damage under warrenty.. then i will use the money i save to custom made a intercooler for my TRD supercharger (it can be done cost about $1500) and turn up the boost (few hundred dollers for pulley and other shit) = Horse power

    2) if toyota is not going to cover it under warrenty, i will have toysport rebuild my engine with stronger parts and bored it to 2.0L.. (about $2500) = more torque

which one you think is better? number one or number 2? please don't tell me both, because i don't have money....

well...definitely get number 1 cuz TRD will fix it for you and you get a sick@$$ intercooler with a low total cost. if that doesnt work out, you'll have to dish out more money to get the 2.0L. that's cool too...but definitely try to get TRD to fix it through warranty and get a blingin' front mount intercooler.

Which vuteq kit are you getting david? well, whether it be A or B, if you do get the intercooler, i suggest that you cut out the front bottom grill so that you can clearly see the intercooler through the bottom opening

hope it all works out for you man!

yea.. i hope toyota can fix it for me...

i'm thinking about getting a type A kit.. but i'm afraid it's too low and i might scratch it all the time...

type A looks really cool. If you've seen curtis'(SquirrelMaster) or dan's from NC4...its hella sick! you may wanna be careful with the scraping though. it just all depends on your suspension setup. Tein S. Tech's will definitely cause you to scrape.

Adjustable Coilovers that allow you to adjust both height and stiffness would prolly work out aright, but that could cost you a grip.

    don't like the type B?

no.. type B look too simular to stock lip... i rather keep it stock if i can't put type A kit on..

I'd go with B, that way you can save up again and get a turbo and put your built motor up to 300HP

here is the problem... i want a rebuild motor too.. but it's all about $$$

    here is what i thinks...
if toyota is not going to pay for it, i will have to spend 2500 to fix/refuild/modify it, that way, i won't have money to do other stuffs like getting TEIN SS or Rotora Brake, and which means i will have to go with TRD springs and AEM brake.

but in the other hand, if they can fix my engine for free.. then i can use the money that i saved to build a Intercooler + TEIN SS + maybe Rotora Brakes...

    hard choice huh....

he had a unichip on his car, so toyota may decide it was the problem and void the warranty

Sorry to hijack this thread, but Tyler, no new numbers? no track times or independent dyno numbers?

:) I guess we are all just hijackers now lol. Well I did go to the track but would rather not post numbers seeing I was very disapointed and didnt feel they represented my car. I am buying new wheels and tires tomorrow and taking the box out so that will help. I also looked at my numbers to figure out what I did wrong and I think i figured it out so I will be going back Saturday and will post results. I have not gotten any independent dynos I may though from a shop in salem to find out what im putting down to the wheels. Once I get my car tuned perfect and the rec limiter situation taken care of I will have it dynoed. I will also be getting a rps clutch and flywheel from them or MWR too.

well.... unichip is the one that cost the problem, (BAD fuel air mix)... after my engine died, i got the 04 piggyback from TRD and installed it onto my car (sold my unichip to a ncfour member), hopefully Toyota don't fine out about it...

the main problem is, Toyota Dealers don't want to take care TRD stuff... Toysport told me, that's because Toyota dealers have hard time getting the money from TRD.. so most of the time dealer refuse to take the car or warrenty it.
