damn... everyone get off? (usually skids make for most people getting out, its that sudden drop from 30,000 ft that kills ya) lol

It was an Air France plane, landing, and it skidded off into a ravine. No word on fatalities yet.

Video footage is from a traffic camera, so watch later today.....there will be footage of the actual crash most likely.

Nah.....better chance of getting hit by lightning than being in a plane crash

10 millions times more likely to get in a car accident that kills ya

LOL, the news is saying lightning supposedly struck the plane and it crashed. I wonder what actual odds of that happening are :superconf .

Nah, they are saying lightning struck it only because a passanger said that.

    297 on board, no casualties.

i never knew u worked for a broadcasting company e, i always wondered how u were the first with news updates..yea thats crazy that everyone survived...especially on an airbus, those things carry a ton of passengers....i saw one at the american airlines and boeing open house (family and friends of workers only) at their manufacturing and maintenance plant here in tulsa (since my dad works for american)...they're pretty gigantic...and the one that hydroplaned on the runway today wasnt even the largest version of the airbus which is probably a good thing....its hard to imagine that all of the nearly 300 people escaped without injury since like a 150 passenger plane typically takes near 2 minutes to get everyone out...cant imagine how long it took to evacuate 297...

ive flown half way around the world too....and plenty of other places in the US...especially since american airlines uses what they call a "green card"....american airlines mails a form to your house and you fill it out with all the names that can fly for free under that green card (theyve changed the color of the card since then).....so i can fly for free anywhere that american airlines will let us (this includes anywhere in the US and even out of the country too to places like Tokyo!)....so im not afraid of planes at all cuz ive been on them so many times that im so use to it...
