    I heard about this show from a guy at work....he said its a show that comes on or will come on like the Speed channel or something and the show is basically people racing for pink slips....id like to check it out but the speed channel isnt included if you have basic cable...

    Its an okay show. Many of the people that are on that show are local to maryland, and theyre all on another local board that Im on.

    I've seen the show a couple times and the idea of racing for pinks is a little strange to me. Who has the money to give up their car if they lose the race? Are the people compensated for going on the show, or do they specially build a car for the purpose of racing it on the show or something?

    they are not compensated - they follow street racing rules. if you're dumb enough to go on the show with your car and aren't prepared to lose it, then you deserve losing it.

    the most recent one, with JPC versus that other guy(the white stangs), Justin did sell the guy his stang back for a fairly low price. some folks have just given the cars back. this show is good for advertisement for shops - the car that raced Justin was sponsored, and Justin's car was representing his own shop.

    i hope JPC goes back on, and wins again - the victory party for the airing of the show was pretty cool. :)

    Yeah, majority are basically sponsored cars, and its good advertising.

    It is bracket racing though, since you show up not knowing what youre going to race

    umm...not so much. they challenge each other ahead of time, i believe through the show. they know what the other car is, though i don't know if they are aware of the kind of work that went into it.
