It's all about money. MTV isn't losing anything from this. They make a hell of a lot of money off of that show. I don't really think the show is all in the name of helping people either. money! They put all that work into the car, but they're really about making a TV show and making money off of it.

I think the sad reality is that the revenue MTV makes from the advertising and ratings of Pimp My Ride is 20x more than the cost of pimping the car, so MTV probably doesn't care. Also, they probably get a lot of the stuff for free because they plug it on the show.

the other car ive seen on eBay was the Nissan Maxima wagon, it was yellow/black.

Who would want that car??? It is still a POS. Anyway they need to pick people for that show who actually appreciate what they are given. True they dropped 20 grand into that car, but the fact of the matter is, the car is still worth 1000 bucks. And the fact that she is trying to sell it and make a profit is just pathetic.

ok, about MTV doing this show... we shouldn't get confused with modding a ride from pimpin' a ride... there's a big difference... it seemed to me that others who watch this show expect a souped up ride after it's pimped and all... pimpin' and modding, big difference... although sometimes, some folks put silly mods to their ride, which pimpin' kinda wants imply... seriously, a fountain and a mini yoga studio on a 1972 land cruiser? give me a break... still, i watch the show because the guys at WCC make me laugh...
