Engine pilot or bushing on 4afe?

    pilot or bushing on 4afe?

    do 1.64afe have bushing or pilot bearing?? i just bought a clutch kit and it doesnt come with pilot or bearing... im trippin out... anyone help???

    I don't know about 7th gen, but when I replaced the clutch on my 8th gen the kit came with the bearing, but I didn't need to use it.

    no, Toyota don't use pilot bearings on FWD A series applications, only RWD. The reason your clutch kit came with a pilot bearing is because the kit's application is for both FWD and RWD.

    I would say keep this thread up cause I was confused by the same thing.. I don't think this topic was ever covered here.
