Pics of my 06 Corolla S with a couple of mods

I just got my 2006 Corolla S about a month ago & I love it. I did a couple of cosmetic exterior mods first. With the 18" Enkeis and the 15% tint, Then added a brushed aluminum dash trim kit & then my favorite mod so far... adding the leather interior ;) adds a whole new feel to the car. I'm located in Vancouver, WA, next door to Portland, Or.

Here are some pics that I took last week. My next mod will be to drop it with some Tein H-Tech springs. After doing some reading in the forums, the H's seem to be what I'm looking for, not slammed but in between the Eibachs and the S-Techs. Got to get rid of that huge gap between the top of the tire and the fender ;) .

Then I will be transfering the stereo set-up from my 92 Corolla that my wife creamed the front end on. (will be doing some reading here on how keep the stock 6 CD head unit and adding my amp & Sub with the eclipse speakers and all)

Next will probably be the cold air intake, cat-back magnaflow, the alt pulley & a smooth front grill. Then after some time goes by and the wife gets over the second round of mods I'd like to get Hid's for the low beams and the fog lights and who knows after that... maybe a Super Charger ;)

Hopefully the pics will work. If not I will fix it later tonight...work graveyard :(

oh wow... now that's the way to do it! nice, clean, color-matched, subtle...

a refreshing break from all the wild body kits, vinyl graphics and screaming loud colors that seems to be the trend in car modding nowadays... specially since (pukes) the fast and the furious came out...

No it's not factory, I asked and Toyota doesn't offer leather on the Corollas. I had a local auto upholstery shop put it in. The wrinkling you see is sapposed to be there, I think they call it a tuck stitch or something like that.

The dash trim kit cost me $161 including shipping. I got it off of ebay. If you go looking for a kit on ebay be careful and do a little research. You can find cheap vinyl trim kits but that it what you will get something cheap. The kit I got is made by Sherwood dash and is a quality kit, but it wasn't cheap either. You can find them at www.sherwooddash.com . I looked on ebay the other day and didn't see any more of the kits like I got but their bound to get listed again by somebody.

Exactly the look I'm going for legobrainboy. Clean, smooth & subtle. I'm also thinking about debadging it. Need to lower it, prolly a set of H-Techs, lowered but not slammed. Change out the front grill with a clean carbon fibre grill and maybe add some HID's down the road and call it good.

yeah it could definitely use a bit of lowering... the stock profile of the corolla is already a bit tall and those 18 inchers didn't help at all.

a 1.5" to 2" drop would be just right.

keep it up! a good thing about the subtle approach to exterior modding is that it saves you money that you can use to beef up the powerplant. hehehehehehe! that's one part of modding where there's no such thing as overkill. hehehehehehehe!

well... except maybe now that gas prices have shot up exponentially, specially here in the third world... oh well... guess i'm gonna have to go back to stock...

I agree with the amount to drop it. The Tein H-Tech springs will drop my car (f)1.73" (r)1.81" . Which should be just about right, and hopefully I won't be rubbing, may have to roll the fenders if necessary.

Yes I agree that under the hood is the place for the important mods ;) . I've been doing some reading and it appears that a supercharger is probably going to be next under the hood mod. I considered going with a turbo for the extra hp, but since I have the extended 100,000 mile warranty and am only 1200 miles into it I will go with the more reliable TRD supercharger that will keep my warranty safe. But since Toyota hasn't unveiled the S/C yet for the 05-06 rollas, I will probably do the other mods i.e. cat back exhaust, cai, water injection (for the S/C) under driven pulley, headers and so on. Now all I need is more time & money :(
