goddamn this thing. i've been working for 2 days already trying to figure out how to get CF.

it seems that i cant paste my layer on top of the image im working on..

ok ima gonna need ur help on this one.

so i took this pic, and tried to CF the hood, this is what it came out..

somethin i did wrong, i dunno. it doesnt cover up the whole picture, it just covers up the hood..

ok, after many tries, this is what i came up with. still have to work on it a lil bit..

the weave doesnt look right, any ideas?

dude.. I always thing that thing is real...

ok any who.. its been like 3 monthas sence I've even attempted one... but its way easier to start with a shot of your car where its just the hood pratically... and work your way out from there... play around with the twirl ALOT... it wonot hurt the picture to undo a couple of hundred times...

screw all those tutorials that teach you how to do Cf cause for a begginer learning how to work with layers and so forth is just a pain in the ass .. simply out line what ever it is that your tyin to turn to Cf (outline with Laso tool) once you outlines what you want copy it ( File - Copy ) .. now find a pic of a Very large Cf hood past your outlined car part onto the Cf hood .. once again outline the part with the laso tool .. then erase it .. youll now be left with a outline on the Cf hood image .. now right click on the mouse select background ..once again go to the top of the CF hood pic click File Copy .. now you can go back to your original image and past the CF onto what you wanted to turn into cf.. now the tricky part .. only layer thing you need to know .. ( be sure to have your layer view on) once you have the Cf over your part turn the opisity down a lil at a time untill the part starts to look like Cf .. you might also have to play with the brightness and contrast of the Cf

also a good tip .. after youve selected the part you want to Cf go to file -edit image -adjustments - desaturate that way it gives the cf a dark look ..

with this way you not only get a real cf look but you also have the shadown and color contrasts that your original photo had .. give me a sec and ill give you an example of the 2

    tutorial

I found a picture of one, but it was on the newer style STi (square lights), and cut it, and rotated it and re-sized it... and then smoothed it out a bit, the passenger side is still a bit rough...
