i have been doing more body work and suspention and now want to get into a little bit of performance modding. ive got a sri and catback. i was wondering what you guys think is the best way to get a little performance out of the stock motor. other than turbo. im talking cheaper to start out. i have a 99 auto. what would greddy e manage do for me. ive heard if you put headers on you lose a little off the line. any sugestions welcome

other than turbo? after intake and exhaust (throttle body, intake manifold, header, high flow cat) then a chip will make NA power.

where could you get a throttle body for a 99 corolla. i cant find one but i found someone to bore mine. and what about headers also. i havent seen any chips for a 99 corolla. where could i find them.

i'm just custom-making a tb. just buying a stock TB and then cutting it up to make it work. not exactly sure what size to choose or maybe just do itbs? headers your only choices are OBX or alphawerks - the ladder being 4-2-1 which is what you want. for exhaust just do a custom setup. you would also want to port the head and install cams www.monkeywrenchracing.com emanage will help you tune your afr and adjust timing(which will unlock about 10 hp with all the mods listed above). and yes. auto sucks. been proven many times. swap to a manual is a must
