Performance of Ebay muffler vs. TRD muffler?

I have a 01 Corolla S. Right now i have have a cheap $50 dollar Ebay muffler with a 4" tip and 2 1/4" inlet.... i have a K&N High Flow Filter 2 1/4" pipe and can beat my friends Grand Prix with duals and most Hondas I raced that are around..but not sayin much cuz my cars not fast either. Would a TRD muffler increase my horsepower and low end power because my car doesn't start pullin hard till a little over 3k and redlines at 6200. Would the extra money be worth it for the TRD?

the only thing I will say that it would sound better. I bought a catback and sold their muffler and put a trd one on. right now I lost hp but i am ready for a turbo now .I am running a 2.5 in exhaust right now

The TRD muffler will sound better and look better IMO but performance gains are nothing to write home about.

BTW, I have one on my 99. Now if I could find my stock one, I'm going to get rid of the TRD. The corolla is almost back to stock. :D
