People curious about Blitz 2ZZ Supercharger

MarkXRS put this link up on 9thgencorolla.com for a supercharged Celica GT-S by Blitz. The dyno tests showed 198 wheel horsepower as opposed to 165 wheel horsepower on the stock car. This implies the Blitz supercharger puts out 235-240 HP at the crank for 2ZZ engine considering a 15% power train loss for a front wheel drive car. Sounds pretty sweet for a 2600 lbs car, but downside is the expensive price. Now, if TRD could damn pick up the slack.

Yea I forgot that its crank HP...and 15% loss seems high...i would say probably less. The added HP gain would make the car as fast as an SRT neon I would think. What I am unsure if how the torque improves. You still have a small 1.8L displacement, but would the torque at least reach 180 ft-lbs from its 127. If TRD ever gets on the bandwagon and makes a bolt on, warranty valid S/C for my XRS then I will get it (provided its priced good).

Yeah, maybe around 170 ft lbs of torque and about 230- 235 HP at the crank. It is a lot of power for a car that weighs only 2670 lbs. As for now, I am very happy with my XRS even stock. It is such a blast to drive even right out of the box. Even with 3 people in it and with A/C on, the performance does not affect much, which is surprising for such a tiny engine. My friends are crazy about my XRS and I have to keep them from bugging me every weekend since they are looking for excuses by saying "hey! let's take your XRS to the highway and have a blast!". I go "oh yeah! it is about time you start thinking about your own friggin XRS!".....LOL

I wonder how a 2zz turboed/SCed would do against the turboed 1zz. I have seen the Celica guys running some nice numbers with the 1zz, likw Smaay and others on there. C2gas also has a nice ass kit as well! Either way with proper tuning, the 1zz should be able to handle 10psi. ;)

I have seen a Turboed Matrix XRS, but I have not seen a car with turbo and s/c together. I think it is a nice recipe to explode the engine. As it is, a supercharger along will be awesome with 235 HP at the crank and 198 wheel horsepower, but it is now up to TRD if they want to bring out one or not.

Haha I didnt mean twincharged, I meant either turbo or SCed. Thats because there are turboed 1zzs makin about similar numbers to turboed 2zz.
