Dr. Tweak is now selling these. I'm seriously considering one. It's fully tunable.

If you're running an automatic transmission, read carefully. We've recently become a dealer for Powertrain Control Solutions, builders of universal standalone automatic transmission ECUs.

Here's their description of the "TCS": The Universal Automatic Transmission Controller is a fully programmable transmission control system. Through a friendly PC Windows interface users are able to program transmission settings based on speed, engine load, engine speed and other parameters. This powerful unit allows users to control every type of electronic automatic transmission from Toyota, Nissan, Ford, GM, Chrysler and many other manufacturers. Automatic transmissions have been mass produced only in electronic versions for many years without a satisfactory aftermarket solution. Finally, Powertrain Control Solutions, LLC. offers a product to control these readily available transmissions both in new vehicles and custom built vehicles. Our unique approach to engineering in this field allows this unit to control all types of electronic automatic transmissions at a low cost. Therefore we are able to produce a unit to control more transmissions and with greater capability than our competition.

    Check out these features:
    · Upshift/Downshift button capability (Paddle shifting and Button shifting)
    · Selectable shifting modes (ex. Power, towing, economy)
    · 6 PWM Driver outputs (Selectable 12v or ground output) (3amp)
    · 6 Digital Driver outputs (Selectable 12v or ground output) (3amp)
    · 4 frequency inputs (Engine Speed, TC Speed, Driveshaft speed, additional speed)
    · RS 232, CAN (2.0b) communications
    · 16 Digital Inputs
    · 6 Analog Inputs
    · Easy to use windows software interface
    · Data logging capability

Keep the PCS Transmission Controller in mind for your auto transmission needs. We have these units ready to ship, and also can provide plug and play patch harnesses, installation help, and tuning. If you would like a PCS unit, give us a call! 404-474-4573

I did a little research and found the price to be 700 plus the necessary wiring harness (which typically cost 150).

yea I saw it on his newsletter too.. It's intresting to say the least.. But I don't like the gear ratios of the rolla's auto tranny to get that as opposed to 5spd swapping it.

Well I have the auto 4 speed since I had no choice when I got the car. I'm very tempted to get one of these. However, I want to wait a little to see what the reviews are from people who try them out first. Plus, I don't have that kind of money right now. :) The button/paddle shifting has my attention as well. :D I just don't know how that would work when I go on a canyon run. You can't really paddle shift when the steering wheel is spinning. Perhaps if the paddles or buttons were mounted on the center console next to the auto shifter.
