parents discurage everything i do or want to do

i don't smoke,i don't drink, i still live at home though but i don't cause them any troubles. I tell them about anything car related or if i can tarp off an area which would put 0 paint on anything rocks trees or anything but yet no. Well i guess its time to move out and be a looser like they want me to be

I know how you feel. My parents have made my life hell they are so strict. The only way I get something done to my car is to say i'm going one place, then go somewhere else and install whatever.

One thing that must be good about living at your parents though is no rent. If I was still I'd have a shitload more money, that's for sure.

i guess. I have been paying off bills for the past few years so i never really seen any of it. I had an idea of becoming a fire dispatcher. But i thought of the negatives and it swayed me away but i am thinking about it agian becuase i would be out on my own and i would have enough extra that i could afford a G35

Well, the fun thing about an apartment is rent, electricity, water, yadda, yadda, yadda... On top of that, car payments, credit cards, the list oges on and on. I've thought about catching up to my debt by moving back in with my mom, but I'd cut my leg off before that ever happens.

i dont know if ur still in school or not, but u should think about ur priorities. i mean its just a car when u think about it, i means of transportation in its essence. Living with ur parents, especially if ur still in school, is a huge advantage. no rent, no bills, free food. if moving out is gonna make u a loser, then wait till u can move out on ur own accord and when u can afford to. Ur car isnt going anywhere. Tell u the truth i have the money for lots of stuff for my car, but im also just a freshman so im waiting till im finished with school. And since im pre med, i ll be done with school when im about....40 then i ll work on my 2003 corolla ce (auto baby!) no more wheel covers and bass rattle.

    Jessetc, I'm with you 100%.

I like your concept and you seem to know your priorities in life. Keep it up, and don't let us tempt you too much to the point where we lure you away from your schooling. I have the same thinking as you. I lived on my own for 3 years now and decided to move back with my mom to save money and pay for tuition (damn Scharwzenaer and his increase in tuition. Screw the loans too, and I can't believe I got turned down by grants). I need about 20 more classes to get my BS at California State.

Living in my own place is great, by all means. Just the oncoming bills and payments and more bills can really put a damper in your wallet. As much as I like to live on my own, I have to get a good education while I'm still young and have the energy.

After I start making some good money, I'll be able to afford more stuff for my car. I'm lucky I have as much stuff on my Corolla than I though I could have. :)

Got to get my priorities straight and go to school!! Your parents care about you which is why they don't want you to do too much to your car. THey have higher expectations of you and until then, we all suffer a bit.
