    Paint mishap?

Hello, i'm new to the fourm (so forgive any noob mistakes here), but i have a little problem.

I have a 97 Geo Prizm, and last year i painted various interior pieces red. It looked great, up until i started getting sick of the red (mainly because there was too many shades of red in my car, the paint on the interior, exterior were two different reds, and the shifter and ebrake were also a different red).

So, I decided to repaint my interior pieces silver. So what i did. Today, i took the dash apart, sanded down the existing paint, and primered the parts. I've read you shouldn't use primer, but i decided it would be better to since i already had paint on there to begin with. My problem is, that when i primered the parts, the primer started bubbling up in some spots and not in others. Did i just not sand enough? Is there a certain sandpaper to use or do i just have to go back, sand the pieces over and over until their smooth? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Tim

As 4age said, it sounds like oil, possibly from your hands.
