Stick with Denso Iridium or NGK Iridium spark plugs. Bosch platium 4 aren't that great. I use Denso plugs and NGK wires. That will give you about 1 hp, or 2 if your lucky.

Why would you think you'll be losing power?

one it felt like it when i switch the regular spark plugs( but when on the highway feels better) my guess would be that the spark plugs have four electrodes hence they need more power, or the stock wires slowing down the electric flow. but then again i am a rookie when it comes to cars, do i at least make any sence. if yes what should i change? to P2 spark plugs or upgrade wires. if no what to do

keep in mind i am a noob

    Its all good.

When I changed the ignition in my car I did the whole thing. Spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor. The cap and rotor I got from a Toyota dealership. The car should feel smoother at acceleration and through out. Just change the whole thing, shouldn't be that expensive.

You said you modified the stock air box to a short ram, right? Thats probably the "problem". Short ram intakes make you lose some low end power (if not all), but gain some high end. Same thing with a cold air intake. Except here you lose even more low end but gain better results high end.

When exactly did you notice the difference?

plus4's don't have 4 sparks at the same time as you might be thinking. you wont use any more juice with those as you would on any other plug. the only thing the 4 electrodes do is reduce the chance of a miss fire. i used them on my 94 and didnt see any improvements. i would stick to denso or ngk's like p dog said.

If you want some NGK Iridiums let me know. I've got a brand new set I bought for the corolla just laying around now.

that actually depends on the design , diameter and intake temperature.:) i had an increase in low to mid range torque.:) as far as plug preference , i had the p4's , got p2's now , cant tell a difference.

NOLOGY wires work great with the NGK or Denso plugs. I had the car tested awhile back with stock and with NOLOGY wires and had a 10hp difference. They only problem is more engine noise through the sound system.
