One speaker louder than the other

I just replaced a set of defective speakers with some new ones and noticed that one is still louder than the other one.

Then I reinstalled my stock speakers to make sure, same thing.

The balance is set directly in the middle, it had no problems prior to installing aftermarket speakers.

What could be the cause of this problem?

How do I know which one it is?

Will I have to replace all the speaker wiring in the door?

make sure all the plugs/wires are well connected. This happened to me once and it was a loose connection. also check to make sure the polarities are done correctly. make sure positive is with positive and negative is with negative.

The polarity connections are correct as I double-checked to make sure.

However, I'm not too sure about the wire.. I still have the stock wiring in place.

Is it normal for the wire to go bad if its too old?

maybe but it usually takes 15 years to do so

but, if a wire got stretched it could have broken internally

In my corolla, I noticed the balance was off too. Maybe I loss a few decibels in one side of my hearing. what kind of speakers did you end up buying anyways?
