One of my struts is leaking..

..and it's not even that old. :(

Should I just replace the front pair (drivers' side leaks) with Tokico blues again, or try for something better (if so, what?)? Also..if there's a better handling spring than Intrax, I might consider that while I have it all apart. I've been happy with Tokico/Intrax, but heck..while it's apart, might as well upgrade -- assuming I can afford it (I don't know about that yet..).

The only struts I can think of that are better than the Tokicos would be the JIC's but they come as part of a full coil over set up and are very pricey. Some might argue that the KYB struts are better but, from what I have heard from most people, they are not. In my opinion, the Eibach and the Tein springs that are out for our cars are superior to Intrax springs in everyway. If you upgraded to a set of either, I believe you would be quite pleased.

From what I hear, KYB's are have a softer ride than the Tockino's which are a hard ride.
Another good springs company is B&G.

no one makes reliable struts for our cars. tokicos suck and kyb's suck. jic's might last 2 years. struts are wear items.

The stock struts on my 02 are KYB and they work fine and its been 2 years and 52K later and a lot of weight was put on them and I had a smooth but stable ride then I dropped her this week and so far so good

Struts do wear. The nice thing about the JIC's is that you can have the strut recharged if it ever wears out for about $20. $20=new strut

I emailed Jony (toyhookup) -- he said Tokicos have a lifetime warranty & gave me their number. Yay.

If there is fluid on the outside of the strut, it's leaking.

where will you find anyone to rebuild a shock/strut for almost free and not charge any labor cost? have you actually had this service performed personally? or are you spreading unreliable information?

You will have to have them shipped back to JIC USA for retooling. I have not had this done personally as I have not had them installed yet, but you can go to www.jic-magic.com and contact their US distrubution office for more details. As you have to have them shipped back to JIC, cost for shipping and having the struts retooled will be $75-$120 each depending on your location and level of retooling necessary.
