I like the 60's style cars a little better, but the 70s are sweet looking too!

I've got a 65 Sport Fury I bought with a 383 and 727 trans to restore bottom up.

There's a Charger down the road I'm wanting to check on that never moves from under the carport. I'm trying to get in touch with a guy about buying his Dodge Dart with a slant six to restore and throw in a 318 that my gf's neighbor pulled out of his 72 'Cuda before he threw a 427 Hemi in it.

I've never liked Impalas. Corvettes cost too much, Novas are too prominent, and Camaro... well every little rich kid has one and I still can't stand them. I like Chevelles the most ot of Chevy's lineup.

Mustang is a waste of money and the only one I'll ever consider doing anything with is a Mach 1 fastback.

I've got a 69 Z28 ... always been into older cars. My first import was my Rolla - lol and technically its not even an import - it's made in KY. LOL

Cars I've had in my possession:

    1974 Camaro
    1969 Nova
    1968 Mustang
    1969 Camaro

All are gone except the 1969 Camaro (Z28) which i'm doing a full restore on right now. I refuse to ever part with that car. :)

The great thing about them older impalas is it isn't hard to find brand new parts for em.

Plymouth Road Runner, GTX or Potiac GTO would be nice as well, but when's the last time you've seen one at a decent price.

Just ask yourself if you want something everyone has, or do you want to be different.

A few years ago my brother had a 64 1/2 mustang and we built it back up with a little speed. We rebuilt the original 289 and added a ton of fun parts. Unfortunately as we were finishing the body work he and his wife moved to TN and sold the car. I wanted to keep it but was broke at the time.

e andree, just be careful of cancerous rust being from Ohio, a neighbor of mine brought a car from Ohio we were jacking it up using a post type hydralic jack and it went right thru the frame. Needless to say they got rid if it quick imagine what it would look like after an accident brown cloud of iron oxide and fenders laying every where. My first car was a '62 Impala Super Sport wish I still had it it would be worth some bucks now! As for a restoration project Chevy's probably have the cheapest and most available parts of the big three Just look at rebuild kits from PAW or Summit there's an amazing difference in price. Good luck!

I just sold a 64 Biscayne 4-door (37,000 miles) that I'd had for 10 years. It was a driver, and a truly beautiful car. Now I'm looking for a 63 post to turn into a 409 4-speed car.
