Ok, so after selling the Corolla... I waited a while and decided to pick this up... this is post TRD springs, Fog Lamps, Strut Bar and Tint. The spoiler and sticker came on the ride.

how is the 6-speed in the new TC? ive heard of many new bell housing issues on the new FJ manual transmission wondering if there were any of the same issues?

Nice ride. Why did you get rid of the Corolla for this? Seems like if the Corolla was paid off, wouldn't it make sense to keep it instead of buying something that is as similar but not as fast and 2 doors?

All in all, even after I purchased the mod parts and put them on I still came in under 22 after taxes and such. The only thing I ended up getting stuck with that I didn't really want was the Alpine Navigation System but *shrug* had it not been for that it would have been under 21.

Thanks! They're wider for sure... The interior is a much better design this time around... I'll take some pics of that this weekend...

Guess I'll never grow up. :D The car just kinda fit me and my personality to be honest... That and the price tag worked for me. I wanted something else to mod around with while in between different stages of my Camaro so it fit.

Not a single issue. I dig the 6 speed... I always wanted one in the Corolla but never got around to doing that mod... Getting used to the whole lift of the boot ring to put it into reverse (think reverse VW) was a little odd though.

I got rid of the Corolla mostly because I was just ready for something new and was ready to cut ties with her. 10 years of steady modding on two seperate vehicles and I was just done. The Corolla also got to the point where while it was paid off but I was still dropping ~$100/mo on different little things to fix up on it out of necessity and just didn't feel like getting nickled and dimed on something that I was getting a little tired of anyway. The motor was solid but everything else was just in constant need of attention... *shrug* I did and still do have mixed feelings about selling it, but I still believe I made the right call. As for the two doors... I've always prefered a coupe over a sedan... besides, i've got the Highlander for haulin the kiddos around in so I didn't really need a 4 door anymore.

In all honesty, I really didn't know what I was going to get next when I sold the Corolla, I was actually thinking along the lines of a Tundra but I ended up opting for the cheaper alternative that I could basically pay almost the entire balance out right now as buying a truck that I would really use right now and take a higher payment on didn't make too much sense.

The nice thing about having a new car is that it keeps me somewhat honest for a few years while I still have a warranty, lol. Most of my bigger money goes into the Camaro until that's up. All the mods I've done are still covered under warranty since they are Toyota options for the vehicle already and they weren't that expensive. Another advantage is that it's nice to have some parts readily available and not have to improvise on some things like I did on the Corolla. However, a warranty won't stop me from boosting it within the next year or two... out of the box the Descendent turbo kit puts out 330whp/300 ft-lbs of torque @ 8lbs so upping it to 14 here (what the Rolla was at) it will actually end up faster anyway in the long run. So definitely some possibility there. lol

the tC is a good car and much better than the corolla. i also don't know why people ask for a price after tax, title and fees since it varies by city and the scion is a pure price vehicle.

I'd agree. I love the whole "Pure Price" thing... it's Toyota's way of saying ' it's XXXX dollars... firm. ' haha the base price is always priced right at about $850-1000 over dealer invoice + enhancements + dealer fees + taxes + license and the second tax (here in Colorado anyway) - i love how they come back for that final stab here... you pay all that money out in sales tax for the vehicle and then they still slap you with a massive tax at the motor vehicles office. to get my plates it was like $460... highway robbery.

I need to get out more. :)

    Recent additions:

That was actually one of the points of the car I liked... I got into it and it didn't seem crowded. Next mods I'm looking to doing are going to involve the FiveAD lip kit, the FiveAD R6:F wheels and the Seibon TS CF hood. My wife is eyeing an FR-S as soon as they second round of them roll off the line.
