try the saturn forums. there are forums on almost every car/truck/motor these days. do the research.

and you said it yourself... "tune-up". just take care of the maintenance and you'll have decent gas milage for a v6, and performance. the bolt on mods we all do don't do much. if you want significant gains, well you'll have to go beyond "nothing too fancy" modifications.

could it maybe be throttle by wire (electric). on the intake there , it looks kinda like an electric motor housing , on the TB right after the intake hose , on the top side.

sorry for being an assh^le and YES... i know this is an off-topic thread in the off-topic section... but i had to say this..

can you read what it says on the sticker towards the front of the car? near the passenger side headlight?

it says, "you'll find the throttle body wire in the saturn forums."

MAN THAT FEELS GOOD TO GET IT OFF MY CHEST!

or in the repair manual, which is the first thing he should have bought before trying to find things he's unsure even exist.

There is a Haynes Manual for "MY CAR" which is an 01 Prizm/Rolla and I did invest in it.

If you read all the posts, I said this wasn't my car and I was just trying to help someone with whatever I could, like a tune-up and not go all fancy in doing so, which means I wasn't givin it a major overhaul and I did not wanna spend on it. While doing so, I couldn't find the TB so I asked if anyone else knew. I got my answer when people said, it was TBW, but geez, before I could post a thank you, so much criticism for buyin a stupid manual. If I had to buy a manual in the frickin "First thing to do", why would I bother posting shit here? People come here for help, so did I, and I knew this was not related to rollas, so I did post it in the right place, and I really appreciate people who try to help and not act like jerks.

If anyone can help and wants to, its appreciated, but if they don't then its better that they just remain quiet.

Go through the forum rules once in a while for a review, cause one of them says "Be nice to the n00b's".

understood, but what you're missing is 1 - we're not a Saturn forum, ergo most people have no idea and 2 - there are plenty of ways of finding this information online. trust me, i wasn't being rude - just making a slightly obvious suggestion. if you're not going to use google to your advantage, then your only other realistic option is to get the manual for it.

I know this is not a Saturn forum, thats why I posted in the off topic area, with "Off topic" in the title. I did try and lookup some (not all) forums, but I did not find much help, so I just posted here, since we have so many guys who went to Auto schools and a few have grown up with engines and what not, thinking someone might know, and some of them did, while others got interested in the thread too coz they were hunting for the throttle cable! LOL...

Its all cool though, sorry if "I" was being rude in anyway....and once again, all help is always appreciated!
