odd noises

    odd noises

    okay... so when i turn the wheel slightly to the right i hear a thud/flat tire noise. then as the car warms up the thud turns into more of a whine, and then last night it finally erupted into an extremely loud grinding noise.
    i jacked it up and pulled the wheel from the side its comin from, but unfortunately i'm not too bright when it comes to suspension...
    any ideas/suggestions?

    im thinking its a bad cv joint-check the rubber and make sure its sealed and not cracked...

    thats what im worried about... supposedly im getting a new car soon, im hoping i can keep the damn thing running until i can dump it into someone else's hands. (im an asshole arent i?)

    and as for the rolling or idle... its while its rolling and im turning the wheel to the right.
