is there anyway to trick the 2nd o2 sensor so I can run a completely differant exaust system??

What do you mean by a completely different exhaust system? The only problems that you'll potentially have with 02 sensors is either aftermarket headers or catalytic converters. For the headers, you can get the EL Prototypes headers or wait for the upcoming DC Sports headers. Both of them will have the 02 sensor fitting in the factory location, so no problems there. If you're planning to do a cat-back exhaust, there are no sensors there that I'm aware of, so you could cut off everything from the cat-back and not register a single CEL (it would probably sound really loud, not pass smog, and cost you a FIT ... fix-it-ticket). You might have a problem if you change out the catalytic converter though. That will probably result in a CEL and possible emissions problems.

i have a headerand the 1st o2 sensor is on the factory spot. but when i have no converters, the 2nd o2 sensor is going to flip out. And I'm sure people are ready to post things saying our cars have to have back pressure and it wont pass emissions... but i have seen dyno proven 6hp by getting rid the first converter on a 03. and I'm not worried about emissions.

    Thanks

I'm sorry, but I'm going to rant about getting rid of the cat for an increase of 6hp. Those gains are so minimal, and what you're doing to the environment is so terrible. The rules and regulations are there for a reason, is it that hard to follow them?

I also have to agree that you should leave the cat. A gain of 6hp is meaningless compared to what you're doing. If you seriously need more power, there are much better alternatives. I don't know what to tell you about the o2 sensor though. there is only one cat anyway. the bulge after the cat is the resonator. i don't know about messing with the o2 sensor. I'm not sure what kind of data it sends to the ECU, but if the ECU is programmed to react to the o2 sensor, then a misread could cause other problems with your car. that's underisable anyway.

    You'd be wrong... there's only one cat - albeit a 3-way one.

i guess I'm incorrect then, but what is the third peice in the exaust system? theres the cat right at the header, then something, then a resonator. and ofcoarse the muffler. Just curious.

DC Sports is coming out with a whole mess of stuff for our complete exhaust system. They are all to be announced.
