    Nuts and Bolts

Anybody have a haynes manual that says or you know what the nuts' and bolts' sizes to a 98-02 exhaust gasket (to the muffler) are?

Mine are rusted so much Im gonna have to have a friend use an impact wrench, which should break them I believe. And I would need another set. \

    Thanks

Well, the exhaust manifold has studs, so you just have to worry about the nuts. I believe they are 12mm...pretty close to that. And like corolla man suggests, definitely use some penetrating grease/lube. You can get that at any Autozone/Kragen/Pep Boyz...pretty much anywhere.

most of your conventional penetrating grease/lube wont do sh*t! things like pb blaster will soften up the metal "slightly" but wont help those bolts that are completely rusted over-you want a mechanic tip? most muffler shops actually heat the bolts with a torch- and brake them off-

yeh already tried the loosening shit, like liquid wrench or something. there 13mm heads I think, but im not sure about the threads.

Thats why im taking it to my friends work (honda dealership >_>), tomorrow. I just want to bring some nuts and bolts in case they don't have them and have to drive around with no muffler. Though I don't think it will be much louder lol.

if it's an automotive repair shop, they would be inept if they didn't carry nuts and bolts for the cars. they should have what you need....especially if it's an import dealer.

get grade 8 bolts...... so later they won't break when you take them off
