    noise from new speakers

i was listening to a cd on the way home from the gym today and all of a sudden i started hearing this noise from my rear speakers that sounded like little ticks, or somethin comparable to marbles dropping but quietly, or the sound of a spark kind of. this scared me because these are brand new 6x9s so i thought maybe its the song and changed the song same thing. then another song and same thing. then i switched to the radio and it was gone. i turned hte volume up on the radio and still none of that noise. I never checked to see if my front speakers were doing it too. My head unit is not very good quality and is actualy kinda broken. maybe the cd reader is causeing this noise? n e 1 have an idea why i heard this noise?

Was it like a popping sound? Did you only hear it when you turn up the volume? If it was than you are clipping your speakers. The reason why you can only hear it on the CD is because CD tends to be louder than radio. I bet if you turn up the radio high enough than you will hear it.

Clipping is nothing that you want. To get ride of it get an amp. I recommend a 4 channel amp since you have 6x9 in the rear.
Did you replace your front too? If not I would suggest you replace your front while are at it with buying the amp.
