    IMHO, yes. Lately I've been getting more and more into these asian films that don't have the usual happy endings. It's more realistic.

    When watching this movie, keep in mind:

    -It is based on a true story that was uncovered in Japan in 1988.
    -There was no script, rather, each day of filming the director would tell them what he wanted.
    -This movie was filmed over the course of a year, so you actually see the actors growing up and changing. From Fall to Winter to Spring to Summer.
