Sounds like good news to me. What ever happened to that small, yellow RWD Nissan concept that came out recently where you could use the steering wheel to play video games? It's kinda random, but the car was designed to be fast, sporty and as cheap as possible. Nissan needs to throw these engines into a car like that to create the new Silvia/240sx.

The Nissan Urge Concept Car. No official word from Nissan on whether or not they're gonna build it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do use a VQ. Nissan seems to enjoy equipping that engine to almost all of their vehicles.

That car with a 300hp V6 would eat a 350Z. If they make the Urge, Nissan would put a 4 banger (hopefully turboed) in it or a very detuned VQ, otherwise their current halo car wouldn't sell.

After the GT-R comes back Nissan is going to be in the lime light, but unless they build something small and cheap, like the Urge, they will won't have anything RWD or AWD that younger buyers can afford.

I doubt they're going to release a car thats cheaper and faster than they're 350Z. That VQ25HR would be ideal to use since it would keep costs down, which is what Ghosn strives for.

I agree that Nissan should come out with an affordable RWD car. They'll need to execute it properly or else it could end up like the MR2 Spyder.
