Ok so I came back from Canada a couple of days ago and drove there with my mom's 02 corolla S. I raced alot of cars during this one week vacation with this car and was surprised to how well it did. I played cat and mouse with a mecedes SLK convertible in traffic on the highway and beat it. I'm loving the highway power this corolla had. I also beat 2 integra LS with it and topped the car off way pass 110. Also today I raced my friend 01 protege with it and killed it. I didn't expect the pull on this car when racing it and its making me hunt down for a manual version. After driving this car I'm wanting to go back to a corolla again.

well my family and drove our acura mdx to canada while me and my girlfriend took the corolla there and my family is still there at canada. I'm still driving the corolla for a while cause I got my TV and CD player in it, but its my mom's car so I'll have to take my stuff out again. All I know is that the stock engine sounds so nice and I'm wanting to get one now so bad and make it into more speed then show.

well man only reason why I decided not to buy my bike and eventually drop all the cash available in the rolla we're unique man

What the hell did your mom have under the hood? Doesn't the 02 have a 1ZZ-FE making about 109WHP? If you beat an SLK or an Integra LS which both have massive more HP then something must be different then stock Not bashing corolla's I have the 2001 Corolla and love it but I've raced and integra LS and lost my nuts to him and I raced an SLK and he just disappeared

These races wasn't a straight drag race. This was a race weaving in and out of traffic, but one of the integras was a straight drag race from 60-100+ and beat it.

i think it was or sure seems like it. i know the Rolla can take off from 60 pretty well but against a teggy LS i am not sure about that. but then again i would rape them with the Accord like nothing.

You beat 2 Acura Integra's LS'? They must have been automatics or not very good at driving, cause i've tried against a few different corolla's, and always beat them in my RS (same engine as LS, but less options, so it weighs like 50lbs less)...

One of them must have been an auto cause I was shocked when I beat it. The other one I beat because we had to weave in and out of traffic and I was better then him with that.

ok now we all understand. The accord no longer runs the stupid tranny just gave out. Now i can see why Toyota makes the best transmissions around. This is the truth. it has nothing to do with me owning one. I read this somewhere in an article. I think it was car and driver. or something like that.

Unless you drop in a built engine with more power then before and not break it in..... :sad:

i guess they do, my tranny's running like crap right now, but its still running

The tranny was broken in and at around 3K miles the shifting started to have problems then it went away. ( Dealer installed a Tranny Cooler) Now the car has accumilated 20K in less than a year and now it gave out again. this is the fourth tranny it has gotten and its fifth one is going to be installed on it. This time the company said they will replace all the sensors. to be sure it does not give out again. This is the worst car we have ever owned, i just spoke to my mom last night and she said she will never buy a Honda again. She said she will just buy Toyota only or a Lexus possibly. the Accord currently has 84097 miles on it and is a 2000 year model.

this thing is catching gears and the it lets go all of a sudden. It won't get overdrive (4th). it only catches 1st (when it wants to) Second is the only one it catches and to get third you have to get to a certain speed turn off the car in Neutral and then turn back on and shift to Third to it can stay there hopefully, but everyonce in a while it will jsut loose it and go back to second.

its the original engine BTW.

LOL I was kinda talking about my stupid ass. Thats kinda another reason my tranny burnt out on me.
