    newest corrola weak?

I was wondering how many of you 03+ guys have done swaps, or have done serious work to the engine power wise, I am thinking of going all out TRD supercharger, Quafe diff, Intake, exuast, and probly a aftercooler,(Intercooler) for added air density. But I am not sure how well this car is going to hold up under the added power, I know 166 isn't alot, (it'd probly be about as quick as a GTS or a little quicker) I just don't want to kill the reliability of the engine. I was thinking and I know you guys have been over it a thousand times, but would it be better just to wait till my warentiee runs out and then Swap it to a newer GTS, and then Supercharge it, or some type of Turbo charging. I am big into racing mainly auto X, but I don't like the car to lose to some snot nosed Civic ether, Opinons please?

if you plan on boosting the power...don't forget to strengthen your axles as well.

dont want them snapping on you now.

yeah, I was looking into it, I think the GTS axles would work under those guides. Not sure how I am going to go about it, I belive I am going to go ahead and start the exterior body modifications, Keep your fingers crossed and I might be able to get at least the grill headlights and taillights done before I go to nopi. I don't want to be the only totally stock car there, I am wanting to represent Corrola's. I never looked twice at them before when I had my supra, but now that I own one, it seems to have it's own strong points and advantages that I can show. Odd I belive that some cars have there own presince (can't spell lol) you just look at them and you can see that there is more to them than what you see at a glance, and after pouring over the curves lines, and history you eventually see what it is, not what you bought. That's how I came to love Supra's especially the little loved MKIII 87-92 turbo's. Now I am starting to think I could turn this peppy little econo box into a respectable head turner. Don't worry, I'll show those rolla hater's. LOL

LOL, buddy I am go. I had my thunderbird 3 months before I swaped heads and chiped it, and placed a shift kit. I am all about go, I just know there's no way I can get 3k for the supercharger by Nopi ATL. just getting what I can afford untill then, that and I want to keep my warentiee from being void.

wow...the assanine comments are coming out early...

1.8GreyGhost - if you're looking to do something before NOPI, get at least the TRD exhaust(because it sounds sooo nice) and get upgraded struts...and drop the bish :) also, get a nice set of wheels...with good tires...that will all remarkably change the performance of the vehicle. upgraded sway bars or a strut bar will help immensely as well.

The TRD Supercharger does not void your warranty. Do the exhaust and aftermarket ECU you will be putting about 160whp and running 15 second 1/4 miles. If you want faster then you are going to have to do some weight reduction. The new Corollas are too heavy to do better without going aftermarket turbo/supercharger. Definitely get lighter rims and better tires (the stock ones super suck) and you will be happier there. The good news is TRD makes quite a bit for our year Corolla so you have plenty of options to explore that won't void your warranty. Definitely check out 2003Corolla.org

The TRD supercharger does not void your warranty only if you get it installed by a toyota dealer. if you get it installed by an independent garage, TRD might void warranty.

Not true... if someone else installs it then the S/C itself is only warrantied for 1 year and your car keeps its current warranty. If Toyota installs it then the S/C itself is warrantied for the duration of your cars warranty.
