Newbie to the site with a couple questions

Hello I just found your forum! I have an 05 XRS it has been doing this wonderfull clutch slipping thing in higher gears "occasionally" not by all means regularly either. I realize that ultimately my clutch most likely will need to be replaced since my X drove it for a while. But what has me confused is that it seems to be hooking up almost all of the time. However right after startup and possibly from the cold it will slip if I get on it too much. Much like it is partially engauged. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have what seems to be good fluid as good as I can tell this one uses the master cyl for the resevouir which is full no bubbles or any suspect condition. And the brakes work awesome. I was going to try bleeding it to see if that helps.

On another note does anyone know of a good repair manual for the 2ZZ I have not found much

    Thanks In Advance
    Mike

sounds like the clutch, I drive a manual tranny now and i never slips, but in my old car the clutch after 16 years of not being replaced can slip on anygear if I'm not too carefull

yeah, if your RPMs are revving high and fast while in gear and while your foot is off the clutch pedal, it's your clutch... time for a new one...

btw, BIG MISTAKE having your ex or at that time your g/f drive your car.
