    I went to look at a 1989 gti on Sunday.....its a 16v too! It needs some work, but it runs...and hes asking only 500 bucks. Now I just have to make a decision! ...maybe it will ened up like this someday

    so ur officially quitting corolla modding? I'm still holding onto my 1995 in hopes that when I buy a house with a garage I'll put here there and work on it untill it'll turn heads in looks and performance.

    On vvt-i, theres a list of 20+ members that dont have rollas anymore

    gti's are great but the reliability issue scares many people away. not sure with the newer models, if they're any better.
    if you buy that car, throw in a vr6 w/turbo. :)

    On a 17 year old car, and 225k miles on the clock, the typical "gti's arent reliable" arguments dont really apply to a car that old....lol
