New JBL BP600.1 and Kicker Solobaric

    Hey guys,

I'm a day or two away from buying my first few things for my 2004 LE. I'm probably going for the JBL 600.1 and the Kicker 12" L5 solobaric. Does anyone have any thoughts on these products. Also, I'll be building a pretty simple custom box. But it will fit into the wheel well in the trunk and shouldn't take up any space. If anyone is interested I'll be happy to share the plans after I've built it and made sure it works well.

    Thanks for the help

    Ordered the 600.1
But I'm going to get the 10" L7 solobaric instead. It'll be a much easier box to build, and it'll be easier to make sure the trunk arms don't hit the box. I don't think i'll lose much in terms of bass response, and I think that it will be a better speaker overall.

Alright, the amp came in today. First impressions:

It's beautiful, not shiny or flashy, but very subtle and powerful looking. However, it does have a few little "fit and finish" flaws. Some of the knobs (Gain, crossover, etc) aren't lined up properly with the holes that they are accessed through, and I don't like the line level inputs.

Neither of those will particularly matter though.

The speaker outputs and pwr/gnd/rem terminals are pretty nice.

So far I'm satisfied. I can't wait to hook it up. Should have an idea of how it sounds by Monday or Tuesday.
