    New Interior

I wanted to do an entire redo of my interior and make it look like the black S models.

But does anyone know if its possible to take the S model Steering column and but it into a 98 Corolla?

just as kris said - they are the same. :) however, why replace the steering column? just replace the plastic cover around the column and the steering wheel. :)

Yeah, I realize I worded that wrong, I just want the black like sport type steering wheel.

Also another question, how hard do you think it will be to strip my interior and make it into the S edition?

I Allready the carpet and headliner, and I heard it wasn't to hard to paint everything black, just time consuming.

Oh I didn't relize that well this is what I was thinking about doing...

Black Carpet, Black Headliner, Mostly Black Dash, but throw some white in certain places, like the door panels and the center console?

I'll photoshop a picture later tonight if that helps.

its not hard at all to change interiors... when i got my 99 we stripped the interior out of my 98 (except the dash) and swapped it out. i hated the brown color of everything in the 99 but loved the charcoal from my 98... i will be doing the s-swap myself. you can purchase all of the parts new online, pretty badass.

Yeah I know the brown is just horrible, like some stuff doesn't even match, well atleast in mine it doesn't. I really like the S interior, I don't know how much its going to be though to get it all done.

I want to do the same thing, i was wondering whats the best paint to use on the interior dash pieces? I was thinking of painting most of the dash and getting seatcovers. but if i could find a wrecked one i would love to basically just swap everything out..i luv that charcoal interior but hate the look of my current brown.

i just noticed today in my friend's integra type r. The interior colors are similar to the corolla S's. the dashboard and everything under the windows are black. All the pillars and the headliner is a light gray color. just thought i'd share :)
