    New headunit installed...but problems

hi, just finished installing my new headunit. However, after using a screwdrive to pry off the trim panel, I left marks of the screwdriver in the plastic material...like dents. Anyway to regain the smoothness ? Maybe hairdry it to heat it up so it can pop back to original shape? Also, this is more annoying. The slider thing for fan speed control is now whack. I can pull it out like 1/4 inch with tweezers, but it always goes back inward. Also, I no lnger have the click click feel when I slide it. It also rarely shuts off when I slide it all the way left, but will sometimes if I jiggle it and I feel a solid click. Any ideas? Did i damage the thing? Fix? Thanks in advance

For the dent, DO NOT use a hairblower (not only it's gay, but it will morph the entire plastic bezel :D) Your best bet is to sand it with very fine ~300 grit sandpaper, then polish it with a dash/interior restorer (Meguiars makes one)

As for your AC control, look under your dash and you will see steel-wire thingys (like a bike brake cable) that goes from your controls all the way to a "controller" deeper into your dash. The edge of this "wire" is usually clipped into something, and your cable must have been unclipped somehow. Just "clip" it back in and you're set.
