    NEW EXHAUST QUESTIONS....

I currently have the thermal axle back, and i am impressed with it, but it is not suiting my needs as far as looks and sound......so now i am looking at getting 2.25 inch piping welded on after the axle and putting on a universal muffler so i can change back to the thermal just in case i dont like the new muffler. Is this a smart decision???... because i really dont want to go with fully custom 2.25, and just in case i wanna sell my car in the future, i dont want to end up buying the person a new exhaust system from toyota. I am also wondering where i can get my hands on apexi's new muffler, the ps revoultion with the active valve thingy, or should i wait for dc sports to release the axle back for the rolla.....(p.s. i dont want the magnaflow). Thank you all for your help.

If you do get a custom 2.25 piping setup, have it welded on after the resonator, because before the resonator the piping is 2.25, and then comming out of the resonator i think it goes to 1.75. So if you do resonator back youll get better performance gains. I dont think I would spend the money to be able to bolt the TR&D muffler back on, this means they have to weld a flange to the 2.25 piping, and i dont know if would even work since your trying to bolt two diffrent sizes of pipes together. I would say just go fully custom and choose the muffler you want.

I dont know why you wouldnt want the Magnaflow system. I have it on my car and I think it is pretty nice, sounds good, gives the car some noise, but not ricy. And you can also feel a little bit of power gain too since your enlarging the exhaust piping. Plus it is much more convienent to do then a custom job, because it is already designed to fit on the car, all you have to do is cut the stock pipe and bolt this pipe on and your done. If you for sure dont want the magnaflow, then thats your decision. But i think you should give it a second look, because it sounds like what you want for your situation. And it even has a flange right where the stock muffler bolted up. But im not sure if you would be able to bolt your thermal muffler to it because its like trying to bolt two diffrent sized pipes together.

The Magnaflow system actually includes a resonator and is installed on the catalytic converter's outlet...

does anybody here have a sound clip of the magnaflow...i dont know if it will be any louder than my thermal..plus i also like how the hks carbon fiber muffler sounds...i have heard that one before on a rolla...but $300 is too much for a universal for me...i was lookin more towards $150-$200 range.
