New Alarm installed - Door Open Light on dash always on now?

Hi Guys. I just had a basic Alpine alarm installed. Everything seems to work great except I've noticed the light on the dash that indicates a door is open is always on, but its fairly dim. At first I just thought one of the doors was open, but if you actually open any of the doors it lights up brighter. Just a minor annoyance I guess, its always lit up now even if the car is off and locked/armed. Did they wire something up incorrectly?(Door pins or something?) I checked all the doors, opening them brightens the light/dims it if you close them. I checked the truck and hood too just in case, nothing happening there. What do you think?

The blue LED is freaking bright though lol.... even when I finally get a tint I'm sure the led will be visible from a good distance...

Means whoever hooked up your door triggers did it wrong... make sure the red/yellow wire in your driver kick panel is the wire they used for the door trigger... Then also make sure they DID NOT hook up domelight supervision because its automatic on your car... sounds like its getting a slight ground pulse from etiher the alarm or a relay somehow...

if thats not it check the ground on the alarm... if theres a bad ground the alarm brain will search all the connected wires for a ground source and that will usually make everything work incorrectly!

It's either they had the wrong wires connected, grounding is wrong, or programming is screwed. My Friend's Matrix had this same problem, he brought it back to the installer and they fixed it for him. Don't worry, not a major problem. But if you don't get it fixed asap, the door ajar light will eventually drain out ur batteries.

Thanks guys... took it back intoday and they fixed it... the guy said something was looping back through one of the door pins or something and causing the gauge to light up.... all fixed now. Time to start putting money away for a new stereo and speakers now
