New 98-02 Angel Eyes project...

    New 98-02 Angel Eyes project...

    Here's the deal. I'm thinking about starting a project later this summer. I'm going to develope angel eye kits for the 98-02 corollas. These will include all parts needed for the install.

    I was thinking of making the angel eyes border the high AND low beams.
    This is not going to be the cheapo miniblind rod and black electrical tape deal. This will be computer designed and laser cut. My goal is to make something that has good fitment, easy to install and looks very professional when complete. Color selection would be available. In the price range of $30 to $45 a pair.

    What do you think?

    Can I get a consensus of people interested?

    Any comments or suggestions welcome.

    EDIT:

    And if anyone has an extra 98-00 and or 01-02 headlight that they would like to donate for the prototype I will hook them up with free angel eyes. It doesn't have to be in perfect condition, just structurally sound on the inside. I would need to disassemble it. You will get it back when I'm done!

    Yeah the 93-97 corollas probably wouldn't be a good candidate for modifying or insterting an angel eye into because the lenses are almost opaque (so says another owner).

    I'm planning on doing this later in the summer. maybe in about a month or so. I'm talking to someone right now that would be able to send a pair up to me for prototyping. I would take mine apart, but it's my daily driver and I don't want to ride around without headlights! Once I get the lights it should be fairly quick for me to develope them. These would be for the 01-02. I haven't examined any 98-00 lights to see if its feasable. If anyone has any close up pics that would help.

    Could you make them for a 2001 prizm? I get the shaft for aftermarket parts, so angel eyes for my ride would rock.

    Ok.. J-rolla02 is working on getting a pair for development. I would buy a new set but I just don't have the cash right now. Anyway, he'll get a free set installed out of it.
    I'm looking forward to making these!
    Everyone will see pictures and stuff when the time comes.
    My goal is to make this a complete high quality "drop in" kit.

    So realisticlly about when do you plan to get them out? I understand that you've got a life and what not but I gotta make sure that I've got extra money lying around. I'd like to get one ASAP!

    It just depends on how long it takes me to get some lights to work on. Once that happens I should have something done in about a week or two. So I really can't tell anyone exactly how long it will take. It could be 2 months... who knows.
    You'll know when they're done, and I'll probably have plenty to sell. I just wish I could get some lights right now and do it, but I've got limited resources and I'm depending on help from other people. So we've all gotta be patient.
