remove rear center console, kick panels, glove compartment, panel under steering column, radio/AC switch trim, cupholder/storage box so you can finally remove the center console to get to the shifter assembly.. unclip cables and unbolt the shifter assembly.. installation is reverse of removal.

What kind did you get? Was it specifically for 7th gen? I heard that the shifters for the Celica fits the 8th gen, but don't know about the 7th.

i think its discontinued, i got mines for 80 used.. you might be able to find someone else parting it out. Alternatively you can use the TWM 98-02 shifter

just get any stainless steel header off ebay, not too many people have had problems with them.

What year is your car exactly. To my knowledge 93-95 and 96-97 are different. The 93-95 has a metal base while the 96-97 has a plastic base. The 96-97 years share the same assembly as the 98-02.. I have a 96 and I am using a TRD short shifter from a 8th gen.
