Engine need help sealin up gap...

    need help sealin up gap...

    yep, tis very hot outside these days, a short ram aint gonna do sh*t anymore. so im switching back to the cold air intake.

    but theres a gap where the wheel well is, '93-97 owners you know whut im talkin about. theres a small gap...i need to seal that up. tape wont do nothing, wet its wet, it just comes right off. what else there is thats sturdy and covers up the gap pretty good?

    im afraid of the rain :scared: i remember last year when i ran the CAI, water water everywhere lol..good thing it didnt get into the engine though..

    and no, i dont have a bypass valve, and no, i dont have the money :)

    is it a gap u want to seal airtight? silicone if the gaps small enough

    gap is about...uh..atleast 5-8'' wide..

    hm...fiberglass is alot work... but i also i want to make it easy to take out the filter too...hm..

    What is this gap that you're talking about? Do you mean the area inside the fender, directly in front of the driver side front tire... there should already be a covering there, so I can't figure out what you mean.

    under the car, where the filter sits. next to the filter, left side, theres a crack there...

    not really a gap...well, you can call it that...

    no pics :(..

    hell, probly gonna seal it up again wit ductap... and sticka heat shield on teh filter..

    your car actually turn off? lol....tis not good man.

    anyways, i got my CAI on already today. couldnt find ductape, so, next best thing is those clear tapes lol. seal that crap up. and made a "heat shield" outa a plastic can to wrap around the filter lol :p
