Engine Need Clarification

According to a recent engine swap post, the engines are interchangeable as far as swapping and most parts ( not sure if thats just for Manual like mine). You just have to put your intake manifold and header from the 01 engine on to the 03+ engine block. My 01 engine has thrown a rod and I had to get a new engine. I will be trying the swap in the next week.

As far as suspension goes, 98-02 are pretty much the same and even some 94+ parts work, like strut bars..

an engine from a 00-02 will fit any 00-02 without problem. for 03's with 1zzfe's you might have to swap some parts around or whatever.

Need Clarification

What is the engine code for a 2001 Corolla S?
Are parts interchangeable from the 02+ and then 98-01 generation?
(aside from body parts, thinking more along the lines of suspension, engine mods)Any recommended online part stores?

Too my knowledge only from the 01 and 02 are interchangable, but I canny remember.
