    My white tail light covers???

I ordered the only kind of tail light cover that RSversion had. The "BLACK" kind but what I received was a set of white ones, which kind of confused me. Since it took 3 weeks to get shipped to me i decided to just wing it. I have a black Corolla S and I put the white covers on and I think it looks hot Im getting a pretty ood response from people cuz it looks unique. But i did have my heart set on black ones that would match my car. Do u think I should take them off and have them painted or just leave them be as white. and how much would it be to get them painted at an auto body shop? thanks in advance

I noticed that on eBay they have the covers for sale...they show them as being black in the picture but have a "*" in the description and in tiny font it says something like "taillight covers actually white."

My question is, are these covers a "see through" cover like most are...GTS, Lund, etc... In other words, can light be seen through the cover?

    not clear

they def came as white. they are not see through. thid really pisses me off cuz of false advertising. i went down to a body shop and they said they can paint it for like $50. I think we should write some hate mail to RSversion and their crappy service

Try painting them yourself. Buy a can of Dupli-color touch-up paint (make sure the black is the same as your corolla's.) You can get it at NAPA, Autozone, Walmart, etc....

The worst that could happen is it doesn't work and you have to have them painted. You could save $45 though.

they made them to be painted. It should actually be awhite primer that is on them. But you are supoed to paint them the color of the car. Even if they were black you would need to paint them, they would be a flat black if you didnt.

    covers

yeah i figured they were primed. I was stupid and stuck them on my car, and that 3M sticky stuff is really on there so it would be a pain to rip them off and possibly break them...... so i just went out and bought rust-oleum glossy black spray paint. my buddy says u have to go glossy if i wanna do a descent job on it. ill just tape it off very carefully and do a couple coats and all should go well. If not ill spring $200 for the black/ red retro tail lights or the chrome altezza's although altezzas and clear outs ar "mexican" looking. the retro ones are my back up plan. thanks for the advice guys

Use a blow dryer and heat them up, that will get the tape tacky enough to pull off. Then you can paint themoff the car. Overspray really sucks, and if you dont get the whole car covered you will have tiny litte mist on your car. The only way to get that off would be to do a good wax!
