My not so April Fools day!!!

Well I was at work and I had this call from my girl who was crying at the time that my car was messed up. She told me that the rear passenger wheel was ripped off from the car and that the car is sitting on the ground. I thought she was joking at first but she wasn't. She evaded a pot hole at the mall and ended up hitting a rain gutter and sucked the car to the curb and broke the rear hub and drum off the car.

well I actually fixed it right there on the spot. I called up the shop and dropped off an entire rear end and just used the parts I needed. The body is just scraped up underneath and the kit just got some scraped and crackes, but its all back on again. The bad thing was that my wheel hit the parked maxima and had to pay for the damage. My plans for the car was to go jdm, but I got alot of problems to take care of so there's no plans for the corolla for a while. The only thing that sucks is that it has bad exhaust leaks and it sounds like shit.

Damn man - I've never seen a hub shear off and take the top off a drum like that before. Must have been one hell of a hit to the curb, right speed at the right angle. Sorry to hear about what happened - fortunately it wasn't any worse (she could have spun it infront of someone). Hope everything works out.

well things are starting to get better now cause my insurance took care of the other car the wheel hit and the car drives fine. The rear end we got came with lowering springs and some good shocks so I'm cool with it. As for my girl, well she made up for it and no one will ever drive my car again except for me.

I think that was gods way of telling you not to have yellow drums...lol

The car hit it hard enough to seperate the bearing, which is why the drum broke since the wheel hub is fixed to it. I would check the other wheel bearings.

Good to hear everything is ok

bad luck, probably. All I know is this freaking corolla just keeps going after all the beating it takes. Its a beast cause even with exhaust leaks, its strong enough to smoke a cleanly built crx.

We should start a club: The "My Wheel Fell Off My Car And I Have Horrible Luck Club." My rear wheel randomly fell off while I was driving on the highway and rolled 1/2 mile past me.

lol nice vamp and we are both filipinos two. Luckily you only had one wheel mess up. My front wheel got bent really bad and there is like a 6 inch gash on the tire. I'm hoping this is gonna be the last time I have bad miss fortunes with this car cause I'm just gonna sell it and get a honda or something. I'm already needing to get a clutch master cylinder again cause the freaking thing can't hold pressure for longer then 3 seconds and after that it gets stuck to the floor and kills the car.

if you take it slow and fix everything in order, and correctly, you'll find that the car isn't so unlucky after all, just don't take on any projects before you've fixed, all the way, what you have.

ya, it just pisses me off that after having it in the shop for so long and having it run again then problem after problem shows up some more. It's been months since I've actually added anything onto the car. Instead of upgrading, its downgrading. Well my goal is to get this thing running and looking better then it used to by July so I can join some shows and some bracket racing here in town. I know its crazy, but nitrous is one of my plans for the car cause all these problems just made my ultimate plan for the summer disappear.
