    my mpg is!

finally damn near what it's supposed to be for my car :D

    Toyota Corolla
    4 cyl, 1.8 L, Automatic 3-spd, Regular 24 30

    Toyota Corolla
    4 cyl, 1.8 L, Automatic 4-spd, Regular 25 33

    Toyota Corolla
    4 cyl, 1.8 L, Manual 5-spd, Regular 27 34

now I'm getting... 24.8 in the last trip, and 23 in the one before... this is city driving, AC on ALL the time.

highway without trying and stepping it all the way @ 75mph most of the way 33mpg, but this is more harder to verify since I rarely do highway.

anyways, not bad for a 1998 corolla with 3 speed auto eh :D
if someone from puerto rico would testify for me that hitting rated mpg is a pain in the ass....

    mostly cause of...
    HEAT
    hills
    300 lights
    traffic
    shitty gas in most places

Use of on the odometer trip meter functions for the mileage of one tank until you fill up and divide by how many gallons it took to fill.

    I'm getting 32 mpg 80% highway 20% city.

    with math :D

    *serious*
    well, I fill up the tank 36.56qt (9.14 gal) / 226.8 miles driven = 24.81 mpg

I'm excited because 24~25 is what I used to get when I did mostly highway and was happy about it :p cause when they gave the car at first it barely did 18~ mpg in city and about 25~27 in highway 230miles (I refill just after touching the line before empty, so my avg is like 33.5qt to refill) was like... :O!!!!

last owner of the car was horrible... had to be an old bag...

if I go 65 on the highway I get about 38mpg, 70 (the speed limit) drops to 35mpg.. that's averaged across the whole trip, because half the time I'm going down a mountain pass getting 45mpg and the other I'm going up the other side getting 30

Very true. Its almost the same here in FL without the hills and bad gas. I'm going to PR in May, I love it. I'm going to visit my family in San Sebastian and Moca.

If I go 65-70 on the highway, I usually get 35 mpg, but when I do 80 I get about 31-32. I'd rather drive the way I want and pay the little difference in gas.

I remember the ae82 used to make 30-35 mpg with a mix of fwy/city driving with 13" wheels.... When I changed to 14" wheels, it dropped some...

Your driving conditions can increase your car’s octane requirements. For example:

Do you make a lot of short trips?
Do you drive in high temperatures?
Do you carry or pull heavy loads?
Do you drive in a low altitude area?

just a quote to have around...

Best tank evar was a little over 42mpg.

But back in the city now. I usually get 25 city/30 highway - ethanol blends suck.

Can you name the truck with four wheel drive,
Smells like a steak, and seats thirty five?
    Canyonero! Canyonero!
Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down
It's the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown
    Canyonero! Canyonero!
    Hey, hey!
Twelve yards long, two lanes wide,
Sixty five tons of American pride!
    Canyonero! Canyonero!
Top of the line in utility sports,
Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!
    Canyonero! Canyonero!
She blinds everybody with her super high beams
    She's a squirrel-squashin', deer-smackin' drivin' machine
    Canyonero! Canyonero! Canyonero!
    Whoa, Canyonero! Whoa!
