my Matrix got rocked UPDATE w/ PICS

Earlier this afternoon my friend and I were traveling to a gig. I had my rear seats folded down with my drum set and his bass guitar/gear. While I stopped to make a left turn, we were rear ended by an some kid in a SUV (it was a Tahoe/Suburban/something like that) that was going at least 50mph. From what I could see from my car before I was hauled away in the ambulance was that the entire rear hatch was pushed in, the entire rear bumper was destroyed, my tail lights were gone, one of my rear side windows was gone, one rear tire was flat, and the really good sounding Bassanti exhaust that I just installed the other day was crushed into the ground. I didn't check to look to see if any of my gear was ok. I am very pleased on how well my Matrix held up in such a violent crash.

Right now I don't even care about the car, the only thing that matters to me is that we made it out ALIVE.

I am just letting my sore neck and the bruises from the seatbelt heal. I will post some pics up tommorow.

now u'll get to do physical theropy for like 4-6 months and u'll get to make some money if u sue the guy. U can get like 8k pretty easy from that

dude that sucks... yeah I hope the car wasen't totled... its good to know you are ok whats with people and being dumbasses today... I almost got rear ended by a guy on a bike who was whitelining... meh oh well again glad to see its just a soreneck...

I'M SORRY! But I've been searching for these for almost half a year! Knowing that XRS rarely gets totaled, this is THE ONE opportunity for me!

um, damn. i don't even know how you're going to fix that one...just the chassis alone will run the bills through the roof.

Hopefully going to get new gear soon. I don't know if insurance is going to total it out yet, I should find out tommorow. The Tahoe that hit me had broken headlights, broken grill, crushed in fenders and hood, and I think his airbags went off.

After further inspecting my car, I found that the driver seat is now crooked and the passenger seat was broke. I am glad we can still walk.

Glad you're alright -- if they don't total the car out, it'll never drive the same..so hopefully they'll total it and give you enough for another with mods
