those are cold cathodes, used a lot i pc case moding. usually they are a little harder to put onto a car though since they dont come with an end that goes into ur cig lighter so ur going to have to solder or something. nothing too difficult though

Nice job, I did the same thing, except I wired my LEDs into my ignition, they go on when I unlock the doors and go off when I turn the key. My car also has a time delay, so if you wait long enough, they turn off themselves after closing door (like the fade dome light feature).

That looks like a good install, but man.. those are bright.

I installed some little neon tubes in my friends 2.5RS a few years ago, and they weren't nearly that bright. The one thing with those lights, though, is that they show any dirt on the floormats really well.. You've got to vacuum the car all the time.

I might do this with my Corolla, but I'd probably do red to match the S gauges.

I did this to replace my trunk light (see my cardomain page). cathodes take very little power, run really cool, and are really bright (and very cheap these days). it's a good way to get lighting in your car.

I'd do red in my interior (because it matches, and because cops constantly harrass people around here if you have ANY blue interior lights). I once had purple inside mine (which looked pink) and he tried to convince me it was a blue light.
